A licensed locksmith with real experience, a straight-shooting approach and deep roots in Melbourne's western suburbs.
I got into the trade in 2008 — back when becoming a locksmith still meant a proper apprenticeship, learning everything from how a pin tumbler lock works through to transponder key programming and safe manipulation. It wasn't glamorous, but I loved the problem-solving side of it from day one.
For years I worked for other locksmiths and security companies around Melbourne, picking up experience across residential, commercial and automotive work. I built up a solid understanding of what good locksmith service looks like — and what it doesn't look like.
In 2016, I started Shield Locksmiths. The idea was simple: be the locksmith I'd want to call if I was locked out at midnight. Someone who actually answers the phone, shows up when they say they will, doesn't charge hidden fees, and does the job properly.
I grew up in Broadmeadows and now call Deer Park home — right in the heart of Melbourne's western suburbs. It's where I live and where I've built my business. When you call Shield Locksmiths, you're calling me — not a call centre that dispatches a subcontractor. That means I know the area, I know the common security issues in local housing stock, and I'm accountable to every single customer.
The locksmith industry has a bit of a reputation for dodgy operators and bait-and-switch pricing. I've built Shield Locksmiths to be the opposite of that. Every quote is upfront, every job gets done right, and if I can't help you — I'll tell you honestly instead of wasting your time.
122+ five-star reviews and going — I'm proud of that. Not because of the number, but because each one represents a customer who trusted me with their home, business or vehicle, and left feeling like they made the right call.

Melbourne's western suburbs are my home base — it's where I live, where I respond fastest, and where I know the streets and the community best. From Deer Park to Footscray, Melton to Point Cook, these are my locals and I'm proud to serve them. That said, I'm not limited to the west. I regularly travel across all of Melbourne and down to Geelong, and I'm happy to go further afield when the job requires it — just give me a call and we'll work it out.
